Rajesh Khanna very well-known as the first superstar.His real name is Jatin Khanna.Born in 1942 was raised by foster parents(His parents relative).
He attended St. Sebastian’s Goan High School in Girgaum, along with his friend Ravi Kapoor, who later took the stage name Jeetendra. Both friends studied in Kishinchand Chellaram College (KC)
He made his debut in 1966 with movie Aakhri Khat and Movie Raaz.Both movies were a part of his predetermined prize for winning the All-India United Producers’ Talent Competition.
Aakhri Khat was India’s entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 40th Oscar Academy Awards in 1967.
The BBC made a film on him, titled Bombay Superstar, in 1974.He became the heartthrob of the nation, singing timeless melodies like 'Mere Sapnon Ki Rani...' in 'Aradhana', 'Zindagi Ek Safar' in 'Andaaz' or 'Yeh Shaam Mastani' in 'Kati Patang'.
