I saw "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" again yesterday.Loved this movie SO much! No matter how many times I watch it, it NEVER gets old! Loved Ranbir-Deepika's chemistry it was just too good!YJHD is love story of today's generation.
The film shows the journey of two different worlds of Naina (Deepika Padukone) and Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor). Naina is a simple and hard-working girl while Bunny is a merry go round boy for whom life is all about being crazy.Perfect movie with perfect cast! simply mesmerizing!
On one side it was the successful reunion of Ranbir Kapoor and young talented, director Ayan Mukerji, after WAKE UP SID, but it was more in the news for its lead stars, real life ex-couple, Ranbir-Deepika, were back together on the big screen. This was the second film of the two actors together. Their first film together was Bachana Ae Haseeno, which was released in 2008, when the two were dating. Later, they called it quits in 2009. Reports were ripe that the increasing closeness of Katrina Kaif with Ranbir was the main reason behind this breakup, but they two actors remained tight lipped about the same.
But we see Deepika & Ranbir successfully buried their hatchet and gave their fullest to this project.
While ‘YJHD’ is a very normal movie based on bollywood formulae but it is got enriched with Ayan’s narrative’s style and flair.
On music front,Badtameez Dil reminds you of some earlier compositions but the energy in the song keeps you hooked. Balam Pichkari is sureshot chartbuster.Kabira is an absolute gem everything was perfect.
Faaroq Sheikh is a genius who gives the best moment in his 5 min role. All the four actors-Ranbir, Deepika, Kalki and Aditya Roy Kapoor perform fabulously. Kalki did a good job.Infact she was great in her role. Aditya Roy Kapoor played his part rather well.Ranbir Kapoor acted quite fine. This role doesn’t need any superlative acting and hence his acting is quite regular but fortunately for him fits the character. Deepika Padukone is the best of the lot for me. Her performance in the final minutes is also applause worthy.
Ayan Mukherjee has made a fine film. He tell us how jawaani is deewani but when it reaches its peak then it should get formalised with the responsibilities.
